अमेरिका का प्रतिष्ठित वर्जिनिया यूनिवर्सिटी में एक छात्र द्वारा मास शूटिंग की घटना हुई है. फायरिंग करने वाली वर्जिनिया यूनिवर्सिटी का ही छात्रा क्रिस्टोफर डारनेल जोन्स है. फायरिंग के बाद उसे पुलिस ने पकड़ लिया है लेकिन अभी ये पता नहीं तल है कि उसने गोली क्यों चलाई. शूटिंग के दौरान वर्जिनिया यूनिवर्सिटी के ही तीन पुटबॉलर मारे गये हैं,.
पुलिस के मुताबिक चार्लोट्सविले में वर्जीनिया विश्वविद्यालय में रविवार रात को एक मास शूटिंग के दौरान तीन फुटबॉल खिलाड़ियों की मौत हो गई और दो अन्य छात्र घायल हो गए.एक संदिग्ध को हिरासत में लिया गया है.
विश्वविद्यालय के अधिकारियों ने कहा कि शूटिंग की घटना तब हुई जब छात्र वाशिंगटन डीसी से क्लास फील्ड ट्रिप के दौरान नाटक देखकर वापस लौट रहे थे.घटना छात्रो से भरी बस में हुई.

CNN reporting that a student complained in September 2022 that mass shooting suspect on the University of Virginia campus had a gun.
Guns are illegal on U VA campus.
But apparently nobody cared enough to do anything about it.
